Custom honey jar labels

Honey is the stickiest substance most small-batch producers will ever label. A single drip down the side of a jar, left to dry on the label for a day, is enough to turn a decent paper label into a mess. Even clean bottling leaves residue where the label edge meets the jar's shoulder — and paper labels draw it in.

We print honey jar labels on waterproof vinyl with a food-safe adhesive rated for sticky-residue cleaning cycles. Body labels stay bonded through jar washing and shelf storage, and our top-seal round stickers (40mm, 50mm, 60mm standard) work on Kilner-style jars and commercial honey jars alike.

Small-scale UK beekeepers order from 25 labels — enough for a single harvest batch or a seasonal farmers'-market run. BBKA Assured Producer layouts, UK honey regulation fields (country of origin, producer name, net weight), batch numbers all get checked on the free proof. Free UK delivery on every order.

Before you order

Four things honey labels have to get right.

Honey labels fail in specific ways no other food label does. Our proof process catches all four before press.

  • Drip and stickiness resistance

Most honey labels fail where honey dries on the label edge. Our vinyl and food-safe adhesive clean off with a damp cloth — no lifting, no print smudging.

  • BBKA Assured Producer space

If you're certified, the BBKA logo and producer number need allocated space on the label. We size layouts to include it — supply the logo file from your certification pack.

  • Jar-type variety

227g, 340g, 454g (1lb), Kilner and commercial jars all take different label sizes. Send your jar model and we'll size to exact fit before proof.

  • Top-seal and body label combos

Many beekeepers use a circular top-of-lid seal plus a rectangular body label. We price them as a set so the quantity combines for volume pricing.

Printed our first labels on a home inkjet. Lasted about six weeks before kitchen honey drips got to them. These have been on the same jars for over a year with no issues.

Beekeeper FAQ

Questions from UK beekeepers.

Do your labels hold up if honey drips on them?

Yes. Our food-safe adhesive and waterproof vinyl handle sticky residue without lifting. Wipe cleanly with a damp cloth, no print smudging. Most honey labels outlast the jar they're on.

What size fits a 227g honey jar?

The common UK 227g jar (about 62mm diameter × 72mm tall) takes a 180 × 45mm body label wrapped around, plus a 45mm round top-of-lid seal if you want the combo. 340g scales to 200 × 55mm body plus 55mm top.

Do you include BBKA Assured Producer fields?

If you're certified, we'll allocate space for the BBKA logo and your producer number on the free proof. You supply the logo file (from your certification pack) — we don't print BBKA-related imagery without a certified source file.

Can I print different batch numbers on each batch?

Two approaches. For small volumes, print variable data across the run. For larger volumes, leave a blank field and batch-stamp in-house. Most small-scale beekeepers go with stamping — it's cheaper and flexible.

Ready to label your next harvest?
