Shop window decals

Sizing your shopfront signage

Shop window decals are read from the street — size them for viewing distance, not for the window. A 300mm logo that looks huge on your laptop can feel invisible from 3 metres away.

Frosted Window Decals →

Etched-glass effect for privacy and style. Size to cover the area you want obscured — these are usually larger than other window decals.

Sized for reading at pavement distance. 200×300mm works for glass doors at eye level; 300mm+ if it needs to be readable from across the street.

Labels

Product label sizing

Labels are sized to your container — not to preference. Measure the curved surface you'll cover and subtract 5mm on each side for clean wrap.

Readability science

How far away will people see it?

Text height is the single most important factor for readability. Use this as your minimum — go bigger when in doubt.

Based on UK Health & Safety Executive guidance on signage visibility.

Avoid the classics

3 mistakes to avoid

Saves you a reprint and us a conversation. Ten seconds each — read before you order.

📏

Stickers look smaller once applied

On a curved water bottle, 80mm looks like 60mm. On a shop window, 400mm from across the street looks like 200mm. Round up one size when in doubt.

✂️

Don't forget bleed

If your design has a background colour or image edge, extend it 3mm beyond the cut line. Without bleed, you'll see white slivers at the edges.

🧪

Test with paper first

Print your artwork at final size on plain paper and tape it to the surface. You'll instantly know if 75mm is too small or 200mm is overkill — before committing.
